LifeLedger

Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 July 2026

These terms apply when you use LifeLedger. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

Important: LifeLedger is an organisational tool. It is not a financial adviser, and comparison figures shown in the app are indicative estimates, not quotes. Always check the provider's own pricing before switching.

1. The service

LifeLedger helps you track household bills, plan a move, store documents, log home inventory and vehicle details, and compare providers. Core features are free. Some features require a paid Premium subscription.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use LifeLedger to break the law, upload content you have no right to store, attempt to access other users' data, disrupt or overload the service, or reverse engineer it. We may suspend accounts that do these things.

4. Comparison information is not advice

Prices and savings shown in Compare & Switch and on your dashboard are indicative estimates based on typical household usage and publicly available tariff information. They are not personalised quotes and are not financial advice.

Always confirm the details on the provider's own website before switching.

5. How we make money

We may receive a referral fee from a provider when you switch through a link on LifeLedger. The fee is paid by the provider, never by you, and your price is unaffected. Sponsored listings are labelled "PARTNER" and sponsorship does not change comparison rankings. Full details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.

6. Premium subscription

7. Bank connections

If you use Bank Connect, the connection is made through a regulated open banking provider. You authorise access directly with your bank, we never see your banking credentials, and you can revoke access at any time through your bank or in LifeLedger.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you enter or upload. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you. You can export or delete it at any time.

9. Availability

We aim to keep LifeLedger available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.

10. Keep your own records

LifeLedger is a convenience tool, not a system of record. Please keep original copies of important documents elsewhere and do not rely on LifeLedger as your only copy.

11. Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, we are not liable for losses arising from your reliance on indicative comparison figures, decisions you make about providers, loss of data where you have not kept your own copies, or service interruptions. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.

12. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will explain why unless we are prevented from doing so.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will tell you in the app or by email if a change materially affects you.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
